Creamy Sausage Pasta
Ingredients
1 Cup Onions (chopped)
1 Cup Mushrooms (chopped, optional)
1 Cup Cream
3 Sausages
1 Cup Spinach
1 Cup Whole Milk
Penne Pasta
Oil
Mild Cheddar Cheese
Directions
Heat a drizzle of oil in a large pan and cook sausages. Once cooked, remove the sausages from the pan and set aside.
In same pan, heat another drizzle of oil and add chopped onions and mushroom. Saute until fully cooked.
While mushrooms and onions are cooking, bring a pot of water to boil and add penne pasta. Cook until al dente.
Chop sausage into bite size pieces. Once mushrooms and onions are cooked, add sausage and spinach to pan.
Once sausage is reheated and spinach has cooked, add whole milk. Bring to a simmer and let thicken. Add desired amount of cheese and let simmer until melted.
Finally add pasta and simmer for 3 additional minutes.
Serve and enjoy!
I recommend not seasoning this dish with salt. I find that the sausage brings enough salt to the recipe.
